Roller Coaster Weekend

Maverick got bit by our dog-which he isn't our dog anymore needless to say.  I really didn't want to talk about this but I know that it might help me get over it.... maybe.
got to the hospital by ambulance so we could get right in and was stitched up an hour after it happened.
On a lighter note, our great friends the Muro's got sealed! It was so special and they really are an adorable little family. They are just so cute with each other. After that we went and picked up the kids and headed to their dinner afterwards since it was kid friendly. It was so much fun and we are so happy for them.
More adventures shopping at Bass Pro Shop. They just love that giant fish tank
Then the weekend got bad again when my phone broke AND with me getting sick all Sunday. Yucky. Not sure if it was the flu or food poisoning. Woke up feeling much better this morning so I whipped out the clorox wipes and threw the laundry in and this house will be what makes my recovery all that much better.

Hope everyone has a fabulous week!

Cousin Playdate

My mom is a teacher and has spring break this week...(which is why I am going to school to be a teacher-almost half way done with my degree- and those breaks are just wonderful) So she suggested all her daughters (WE MISSED YOU KELLI!) have a park day and have lunch together. We are so lucky to have each other and get a long so well. Chit-chattin about health tips, husbands :), future plans, and things we love. Doesn't get any better than that. I love the women in my life!

All the kids. Casen was in a disobedient mood so he couldn't join them :)

Princesses and Ballerinas

We went to our good friend Megan's Ballet performance the other night at the Queen Creek library. She dances with the BYU Ballet Co. She was Cinderella and did so good. We came early so the little girls could come dressed up and meet the ballerinas. It was so fun and Megan is so talented! If you live in or go to Provo, her face is all over on the buses and etc.! :)
Londyn was watching the whole performance like it was her favorite movie. She loved the dancing and was pretending to be a ballerina in the grassy area in the back.

The dancers handed out suckers to the little girls and Londyn and Lainey thought that was the coolest thing!
Maverick found a friend from our ward and was chasing her around

all of a sudden

We got a dog. All of a sudden. (I will have you know that I googled if it's "all of A sudden" or "all of THE sudden" question and it said it's "all of A sudden". Devon gave me a hard time so I had to make sure!)
I never thought I would say that ever! I am not a dog person and don't know if I ever will be. He is a 3 year old blood hound/brown and tan coonhound mix. Devon's pal he works with has multiple dogs and this little man, Cletus (Kl-ee-tis)  (that's me helping you pronounce it if you were trying to figure it out)...  he was their only male. So you could imagine what he was going through and wonder how he got any attention at all right!?! ;). Devon offered to take him and she gladly took the offer. He kept telling me about him and the whole situation with his friend for months and I would just frown and shrug like ok whatever it's probably never going to happen. I didn't take it seriously. I don't want my home and kids and me smelling like wet dog 24/7 even though febreze exists and dog shampoo- you can still smell the dog and all it's glory. I think dogs are cute and like to look at them from a distance but I never grew up with one and that is why I wasn't embracing the thought. So Devon comes home one day and says that we are trying the dog for the weekend. Eeek! I know that I need to do this for him and the kids since they love animals. Devon works long hours-extra hours-and does everything for us and puts our needs before his always so I know that I need to do this for him.
Sorry for the butt-shot
I was expecting it to be BAD. Like barking all night, jumping up on us all the time, potty-ing in the house, and whatever else could go bad. But no, he is pretty good. House broken. He loves us already. He is already pretty protective. Londyn is obsessed with him! He will go anywhere we go even if its 5 feet away from where we just were. He will wait for me if I am in the kitchen cooking/baking/cleaning and sleep by the gate. Like right now while my kids are napping he is napping too, right beside me at the computer ^ see the pic above :) So now he is ours since it's going so well.

So he came from a home where is inside most of the time, and on the furniture but he learned real quick with me that NO means NO. So it's a good thing that he is house broken but he will eventually (soon) be outside only. In the mean time he doesn't tear apart my house or bark but this mom has her limits and although I wish I had the time and energy to mop twice a day, I don't like it and don't want to for very much longer :)
