Come on Baby! At Least I have Twilight to Keep me Entertained!

These past 2 weeks I have been more anxious than ever to have my baby! I am not scared anymore, instead that feeling got replaced with the anticipation of having her anytime. I would love to go into labor right now and I would if I could choose! But I know I technically still have 2 weeks left and that I need to just let her keep growing inside me and finishing up her time in Heaven, I don't want to take that away from her sooner than she wants to!

I have been matching bows with little outfits, buying more cute onsies, socks, hats, and any girlie thing you can think of. Devon has come home more than once with little outfits he finds and can't not buy! I know we have more that enough but no matter how much we get I still feel like it's not enough though! I know it's silly and she will probably not get the chance to wear a lot of it.Me and my mom and sisters went to see Twilight Friday afternoon. I was impressed with it because I was so nervous that I was going to be let down. I was sure to not have the highest expectations and not be too picky so that I could still enjoy it and I did. I thought Edward and Bella did great together and all the other characters also. It was more comedic than I expected too so I loved that about it also. I can't wait for the next one!!!
I also got the chance to go to the Shelly Conway benefit concert Monday night . I t was really good and quite entertaining! The band was so talented and goofy so that made it fun. The singer of the band sounded just like The Format so I was impressed. They were selling their CD's in the lobby and that money plus the ticket $ went toward Shelly, I loved that. It was amazing being there because the audience filled the entire auditorium. It was all people who love the Conways :)
Here is Krystal and I taking a quick picture. I just thought I would post it, she wanted a pic of her with me while I'm preggers. She is such a cute friend :)

PACK....MY SUITCASE?

I love that line from home alone when Kevin is told to pack his suitcase and he has no idea what to pack.... good movie

That is kinda how I feel about packing for the hospital! I have the list that they give you of the mandatory things that I need, but I'm curious if there is anything that anyone wished they would have brought or was so glad they deicided to bring that wasn't on the general list. HELP! :)

What was really given

Last night we had the missionaries over for dinner and one of the elders read us a story that I have had on my mind ever since I heard it. Jenna is the one who always keeps this up to date but I thought it was my turn to share. With the holidays coming I thought this would be good to share with all our friends and family. I am sad to say that the atonement didn't really hit home until I heard this story.

Imagine you are driving to work tomorrow and you hear a story on the radio about a small village in Asia that had been struck with a mysterious flu that had taken the lives of 10 people. You don't think too much about then, but when you get off work you are watching the news and the main story is that this flu has now spread to 100 villages. So you watch it and think about how fast this flu is spreading, but it still doesn't really have anything to do with you. The next morning you see the president on T.V. and he says that the borders are going be closed and that he is sorry for those who have family in other countries, but this flu is spreading way too fast. He then says that they are working on a vaccine for this and as soon as it is found they will open the borders. As the week goes on you don't really see anyone laugh or smile, the country seems so sad and then it happens... the flu hits the United States. As you get home that evening there is a broadcast asking everyone to go to your local hospital to have their blood tested, they have found the cure but it will take clean blood to complete the cure. As you load your family in the car and head to the hospital you say a prayer in your head that this will all be over soon. You arrive at the hospital and you and your family are all tested. While you are waiting you look at all the people there and you ask yourself, " how could this happen so fast it just took over the world." Then you see a man in a lab coat running down the hall yelling a name. Your heart falls into your stomach, as you feel a tug on your shirt, "Daddy they are calling my name." As the man in the lab coat comes to you he says, "Sir your son's blood is clean!" The people all around start to cheer and cry and give all kinds of hugs, then he asks you and your family to come with him. You go into an operating room where a doctor says he needs to do a few more tests before they start. After the testing is complete the doctor comes to you and asks if he can speak to you in private. As you go into his office he tells you that he will need you to sign this form. As you read it you notice that the part that tells how many pints of blood will be taken is blank, you ask the doctor why, he then explains that they had not planned on the clean blood to be in a child, and that they would need all of his blood. But he tells you that your sons life will save the world. As you sit there for a while and think about what is being asked, you realize this is what has to be done. As you enter the operating room you begin to cry, and you kiss your son goodbye and walk out of the room. A month later the president holds a ceremony in honor of your son and what he gave. While you are sitting there you notice across the street you see people going to the mall, cars driving by and you see a plane flying in the sky over head. Then you think to yourself why are those people not here to honor my son and what he gave.

I just want to bear my testimony that I know that Jesus died for all of us and I am grateful to have a father in heaven who had a plan to save all of us. I am so blessed to have wife who I love and a daughter on the way that I will be able to spend eternity with because of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ's plan. So I hope we can all remember what gift was given to us as we come into this holiday season. In the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

Halloween and Baby Shower

We had a fun past few weeks with all the Halloween activities going on. We had a family Halloween party at our grandparents house on Devon's side and that was fun to get the Winters Girl and Guy pics as you can see. We missed you Jared & Hope!!! Love you guys :)

My daddy, Sister Emilee & I at our Halloween block partySince I was a party pooper on Halloween neither Devon or I dressed up :( I am just such a cow right now and he only had a little bit of party time before he had to leave for work so we just chilled at our anual block party that is held in my parents driveway and it was way fun. Home made root beer, chili, cornbread, & cinnamon rolls.. mmmmm yummy.

yay I had my baby shower on Saturday and got so much fun stuff. Everyone was SO generous I felt so blessed. I didn't take one picture with my camera the whole time, someone else was in charge of it. I am sad I didn't get group pics with all my sister in laws who got me 3 big baskets of adorable baby stuff! They are so awesome! But here are my sisters and mom who threw the shower. I love them sooooooo much!
