Our Holiday

Our Holiday was so wonderful. Devon and I had the best time spening our first Christmas together and with both our families. We spent the night at his parents house with everyone on Christmas Eve, that's what their family likes to do and it's so fun! Then we were there the whole morning and that afternoon we went to my parents house and had dinner exchanged gifts and went to the movies. It was a great day!
We decided that our gifts to each other would be more meaningful if they were homemade. And they really were. I made him a sweet Chess board since he collects all different kinds of them. That took me almost three days becuase I literally made it from scratch. It was so fun antiqing it and distressing it to make it look vintage. Then He went to the Iron shop at homestead and made me 4 awesome curtain rods! He twisted the iron and made it look really beautiful. I didn't take a picture because Devon is storing them in our storage shed until I make our window treatments.
The 27th was a beautiful day because my first nephew was born! Casen Tyler Edwards. He is the SWEETEST thing :).
Also that day my good friend Melanie Merchant was married to Ben Park. I am so happy for her. They are so cute together.

ALL Alone!

Okay so I am all alone for the first time since Devon and I have been married! I HATE IT! He went to the dunes and I totally forgot to find sleeping arrangements for myself! It's hard though because all my friends who live around here are all married and have their husbands with them right now and I can't ask to sleep at their house... weird... so I'm just blogging and watching a show that I think Devon would watch because I'm dumb and I miss him and I hope I turned on the heater right because he always does it so I hope that my house doesn't blow up, I'm always paranoid about the dumbest things in case you can't tell.

My sister in law was so sweet to invite me over for dinner and we did pedicures, (I did a french pedicure on myself for the first time with red and clear jewels) So I stayed over there talking to her and doing nails. When it came time for me to leave, I hopped in Devons truck and he usually has a cover on the bed of it, but he took it off for some reason. So I started driving home and I was starting to get scared like I used to when I was 12 and babysitting and my imagination got to me and I thought... what if a bad guy climbed into the back of the truck and is laying down so I can't see him and he is going to attack me when I get out! So you know what I did? I kept slamming on my breaks at random times (since there were like no cars on the road) so that I could hear if the bad guy would slam against the wall of the back of the truck! No sound! I'm safe in my house with ALL the lights on and I know I'm just being a baby! Devon will be home sooner than I know it.... NOT! But I'll survive :)

Lot's to show ya

I just wanted to show you how beautiful my niece Regan is My Beautiful niece Paige turned 8 and got baptized on Saturday! We are so excited for her!
Sunday night we were goofing off at family dinner and my brother in law was discovering cool settings on their new camera so he wanted to practice taking black and white pirctures with the different accent colors in the background.

Cara and I made these Caramel, Mint Chocolate, Milk Chocolate, Butterscotch, White Chocolate, and Cinnamon Apples! Those are all the different things we dipped them in! They were sooooo good! I'm definately making more to hand out to friends and family :)

Our First Christmas tree. Fake- But it's a tree! I took the picture before I put up the ornaments because I just fot so excited and also because I was going to go to bed and put up the ornaments the next day haha.

I haven't posted in a while, school has had the best of me lately and I haven't been taking very many pictures of what we've been up to! Recently our good friend Heidi Rose married our friend Jason Woody and that was fun to be apart of. Other than that I have just been doing homework, working, and decorating for Chirstmas! I can't believe how fast it has been coming, it's so weird. But, we hope everyone is doing wonderful and I will hopefully have more to post soon :).
