Devon's Gradutaion & a Little Cabin Time to Follow

I am so proud of Devon! He went through this 9 weeks of training to be Corrections Officer in Tucson and got pepper sprayed, gassed by a gas grenade, and beat up from learning self defense. He just makes me so proud because it was a real sacrifice for him to do it by being away from his pregger wifey, eating their disgusting food, & waking up at 4 am every day. The poundage he lost was replaced with a whole lot of knowledge and experience that he learned while enduring this academy! Yay he's done :)

Pinning his badge on him!!!!!

the family that came to support!!!
After we got back from the graduation in Tucson we decided very last minute that we would join my sisters at my sister's in-law's cabin in show low. It was cold but so nice to get away

this is the cabin that my sister and her husband are building. It is amazing and we can't wait till its done!

There is really nothing exciting about this post!

Ok so there is not really anything exciting about this post but I wanted to do something anyway because it has been a while so.....
Saturday night Devon got invited to play flag football on this team that some of his buddies are apart of and of couse the two friends who are also apart of it who have wives too weren't able to come so I just chilled by myself in the FREEZING windy weather. There was another wife there though watching and we started talking so that made the time go by faster but oh my goodness does it usually get this cold this early in October? But I am certainly not trying to complain because I am not missing the hotness!
This is just a pic of the Halloween sugar cookies that I made with the kids I nanny. They were on fall break last week so I got to do lots of fun stuff with them. I love hanging out with them when they are all home. The kids were so funny because they were experimenting with the food coloring and would get so excited about making the frostings all different colors. The ones that look like dinosaurs are actually supposed to be cats... they never shape right after you bake them!

Oh I think I lied about this not being exciting! This is Devon's LAST week at the academy! His graduation is Friday and I get to pin his badge on him at the ceremony! I am so proud of him and way excited that this stupid training all the way in Tucson is over.

Uh, ya I'm Being Festive

I am so excited for this fall season and Halloween. The evenings are getting cooler and the air even smells like fall. I know my whole blog transformation kinda gives my enthusiasm away but I am really in the mood to be festive and who knows the next time I look at my blog I might be disgusted. But I change my blog all the time so who cares if I decide to go back to a normal non-festive theme right?

Anywho, I normally don't have the desire to dress up for Halloween every year, I guess it's because I don't think I can play off whatever character I would be very well. So I was thinking about dressing up with Devon this year but I have no idea what to be! If we wanted to be something that goes together I was thinking I could be Juno and he could be her nerdy boyfriend and wear that track outfit and I would wear the funky clothes she wears but that's the only thing I have come up with. Does anyone have any better ideas for a big prego lady to dress up as for Halloween???

I Did My Canning!

This was so refreshing to accomplish my canning duty. I had never canned a thing before last Saturday and I have my awesome and talented mom to thank for sacrificing half her Saturday and having the patience to help me do this.

Don't they look so pretty? Ever since I was little, pears have been my most favorite fruit or candy. I think of them as candy because I love them that much. So I ordered them from Vonda and started my canning adventure.

After the canning, I went to the Brooke White performance and it was really good. She is so adorable and I admire her awesome stage presence.

2 &1/2 more weeks of Devon's training and he's done! I can't wait. I don't care what shift he gets when he starts after training as long as he gets to come home everyday I will be fine! My baby is running out of room and I am still not tired of the excessive movements she does. She is very active all the time and I love it. I know I don't need to be worried because I have friends that told me they were nervous because they didn't feel their baby move once during their pregnancies so I am thankful for my little baby's energetic personality.

This is me in my jammies at 30 weeks & 5 days
